Villagers - Becoming a Jackal

Blew my mind on the first listen. A fantastic alt-rock album with fragile, poetic songwriting.

LCD Soundsystem - This Is Happening

Haven't got around to listening to it yet but i'm very much looking forward to.

I really like that one as well, been listening to it a lot lately. I heard he was producing it so I expected a lo-fi kind of sound, but it seems like a very lavish production on it, it makes no apologies. Really solid album.

I'm also liking..

Stornoway - Beachcombers Windowsill

I personally LOVE it! It's not as stripped down as the last album and has a lot more substance. It's all very lush and well put together and as usual: inordinately gorgeous.

Yeah it's one hell of an album and they're one hell of a group. Only one person I've shown them to has really liked them and that's my sister. We share a love for ambient and atmospheric music. I really wish more people could at least give it a try but ah well. It's just too simple for some people I guess

This kind of music is'nt for everyone in this hectic world of ours. Some people don't have the patience to stop and really listen. Me, my brother and some of my friends listen to this kind of music and embrace it. My old art teacher plays in a ambient band that is perhaps the oldest ambient band in Finland (they formed the band in the 80's) so there is people in my life who thankfully understand this music.

Deerhunter - Microcastle/Weird Era Cont.

I don't exactly know why but I feel like giving this album a chance, even though I'll likely be indifferent to it.
