Yesterday, I got:
Demon Hunter's The World Is a Thorn. Just came out this March. So far so good. Needs a couple more listens before I can say for sure. According to the band, its their heaviest, yet most melodic album yet. Again, I need to give it a few more listens. Still working on it. I got this album a few weeks ago, along with some other DJ Shadow stuff. I liked it, but I must admit, I didn't try hard enough to really get into it. I owe it some more attention. |

Yeah I actually got that album a little while back on a black metal binge. I actually didn't even know it was considered psychedelic. So yes, be wary fellow BNers.. but I still enjoyed it.

A backing band for Lee Dorsey amongst others, this 70's Funk Rock band released a few seminal albums in the 70's and this is a corker. The 11 minute+ It Ain't No Use is right up there with Funkadelic for Funk Rock jams.
New Fall album. Not listened yet. New Noisia album. On it now. A hybrid of Drum N Bass, Electro and Prodigy-esque big beats. Not heard this yet but the writes up suggest a very good Reggae album. EDIT. It's not Reggae but a sweet Soul album. NSW, Bulldog and Right-Track should check this out.

^ You will definitely find those interesting FaSho. 8)
As for me- Dodgy - Homegrown (1994) Very underrated Britpop/power-pop hybrid band I picked up based on an article I found. Thusfar, the fantastic vocal harmonies and guitar that infests this record has made great strides to putting me in a summertime mood. Zone - Angel of Freedom (1999) One of the most eclectic, beautiful albums I've found in quite some time, jumping between Skinny Puppy-esque industrial workouts to Chinese folk to classical in the course of half an album. Why don't more people know about this I wonder?

Dodgy? Oh No! Good luck son! They have a very bad rep here! In fact they died soon after their debut 'Free Peace Sweet'.

My last download... Last night by Moby.... I've always loved the artist, but kinda kept overlooking this album, so now, after a few years, I figure it was worth a look!
