Nice!!
I’m not much of a fan of a lot of the tech. deathgrind type stuff they helped open the floodgates for but this is a real gem. Their Effigy of the Forgotten album is pretty flawless as well.

Just picked up:

MASOCHIST - History (2007 compilation)

Been on a serious Wire kick recently and they are fast approaching my favourite bands list. Every release is that little bit different. Never a band to rest on their laurels and fans of all manner of guitar music can find something by them that they would like. Incredibly underrated band.

Ooooh, a friend of mine loves The Tallest Man On Earth's debut. I've given it a listen and I'm not really into it.

Do you like it? If so what do you like about it?
I love both albums, I like the debut more though. I think I mostly like it for it's simplicity and it's lyrics, so natural, at times dark at times gentler, his voice takes a lot of getting used to but I enjoy it.

I just downloaded this:

because lately I've been really interested in hardcore/emo, I like this album because it's more upbeat, but still delightfully noisy.

Excellent call. Every time I go to a record store I check for any Beat Konducta releases I don't have. I don't think it's possible to go wrong with any of them, Madlib is a ****ing genius.

And you can never go wrong with Cap'n Jazz

You prefer their debut, do you think The Midnight Organ Flight is their debut? That's their second album just incase you didn't know. But yeah I agree with the lyrics, the lyrics in The Midnight Organ Flight are just so simple yet they mean so much.

Hmm, I'll no doubt give it another listen. His voice is definitely distinctive and different.

I've never had much of a liking for folk but there's something about him that makes him different.. for whatever reason I enjoy him thoroughly. I hope I'll like it as much as I do the original!

Oh, I was talking about The Tallest Man on Earth...yeah in terms of Frightened Rabbit, I love Midnight Organ Flight, and yes I do know it was their second album, it was just the first one I heard. In terms of the new one vs. the second album, they are both fantastic and I can't decide which one I like better.
