Of course you can. Try turning it up loud on something other than headphones and it is easily apparent.

I just bought Songs for the Deaf by Queens of the Stone Age. I've listened to my pirated version (oops! is that allowed here?) of the album to death, and on a whim decided that I should show my support for the awesome band.

I can tell the difference on my high end headphones between lossy and lossless formats.... is it big enough of a difference to bother me. Not really. There's not enough compromise in the sound quality that i don't miss the overall qualities of the music, the bass is nice and deep, the treble tones are nice and sharp, and the mid range is fine. Hey it's all still way better than grandpa's gramophone...

I still prefer The Midnight Organ Flight, but after a few listens I hope I'll love The Winter Of Mixed Drinks just as much.
Ooooh, a friend of mine loves The Tallest Man On Earth's debut. I've given it a listen and I'm not really into it. Do you like it? If so what do you like about it? Last edited by TheCunningStunt; 03-28-2010 at 08:09 PM. |

Calle 13-Los De Atras Vienen Conmigo
-so far i'm really liking it, i really don't see why people say these guys are still reggaeton when alot of the beats and instrumentation is so much more. Death From Above 1979-You're a Woman, I'm a Machine -love the bass and the vocals working together, it's heavy and at the same time accesibly dancable Shawn Lane-Powers of Ten -just listened to the first track......think i'm in for quite a ride Suffocation-Peirced From Within -got this on a spur of the moment, gonna give it a listen tommorow
