One of my personal favourite albums to listen to when I write. I actually sent it out to a bunch of people about 10 months ago and I got a lot of positive feedback on it.
Anyhow here's my latest grab: Shiner - The Egg Still a little too early to give a review for, but it is nice to see indie rock that actually... you know... rocks. |

Beautiful album. Dark jazz, some weed, and a dimly lit room will do. I played this album a lot a few months ago with Pete sent it out. I put it on one day while I was really sick and it boosted me up a bit ... Enough to go out and get a few shots of 101 in me. All it healed by my 6th shot. =D Also, if you like Bohren, you'll most likely dig on some Killimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble. You, too, Pete. Killimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble |

Emmylou Harris - Red Dirt Girl
I've been on an Emmylou kick lately, so I thought I'd get this in the interests of exploring her discography a bit further. A kind of thematic and stylistic continuation of the Wrecking Ball which, being one of the coolest albums ever ever ever, can't be a bad thing. I think it's also the first Emmy H album to consist entirely of original compositions. Should be a good 'un then. The Eden House - The Looking Glass EP Got this idea from Jackhammer's thread. Couldn't find the debut album anywhere, but I found this. I expect good tidings! |

I downloaded a bunch of John Zorn's early stuff.
As he couldn't be bothered to write a single tune for any of them i've decided I can't be bothered to post their covers either.
