well hell i guess i should contribute something useful now...

I Monster - These Are Our Children

very odd electro-pop. a lot more mellow than their other two albums. i dig.

Soul Coughing - Sugar Free Jazz (Single)
it took me a very long time to find this one. it's better than i even imagined. love this track already, and the remixes are all excellent.

Costanza - ZerOKilled EP
really, really, really good trip hop. she did vocals on Tricky's album Vulnerable.

I'm typically not a fan of politically driven rap, but this is done in a more fun, non-threatening way that's not bad at all. I don't know if I could handle listening to it consistently, but maybe if there was an instrumental version...

And I also got this:

A 2009 release from Ugly Duckling that I didn't even realize existed.

Agreed and agreed...I just put it on my "load to ipod" list as it's been a while for me too.

Same here, I post as they are acquired and if it's something I've never heard, I may not have anything to say yet. BUT!!! I share noise's frustration at the complete lack of any text in a post...at least post the artist and album name in plain text so we don't have to guess what it is (plus sometimes images don't show up from certain sources). And images are not searchable...if you include the text in your post at least people can find mention of bands/albums in their search results.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

That can be pretty frustrating. I know that I will on occasion just post the album cover when I can't be arsed to type (yes, I definitely have more and moe of those moments lately), but only when the Artist and title are clearly displayed on the album cover. Sometimes if you quote the post where the unidentifiable album is posted you can get a clue to the title in the URL. It beats asking and having to wait for a response to figure out what the **** they're posting.

If I post anything in here I at least try to make an effort to say what I've heard about it or what I expect to hear in it.

This is the only Dillinger Escape Plan release I haven't heard yet, so I'm on it. I'm planning to revisit every DEP release in preparation for Option Paralysis.

Yeah I definitely check the file URL before asking, it's just annoying. We're not here to be cryptic with each other.

I'm sorry my posting skills leave your panties in a twist. I'm listening to the albums right now. If you have a problem with it, maybe you should have PMed me and asked me about it. Shit, maybe you should have quoted me and asked me about it. Unnecessarily bitching about it solves nothing. There are other reasons to why this thread is beneficial aside from informing people what you've bought/downloaded, what you think of it, and as you so astutely observed, "showing off your latest album art download". Albeit the copious counts of posts that don't elaborate on the albums, much conversation has stemmed from them. If you think you're going to make someone's day because you've obligatorily punched out a few words, then maybe you should direct your irate faultfinding inward.

Here's me, desperately yearning for your approval:

Moon D))) - Radiations of the Moon

I've yet to listen to this album, but was stoked to find it on a fellow MBer's blog

The Capricorns - River, Bear Your Bones

I just finished listen to this, and I absolutely love it. It was heavier than I thought. It's instrumental post-rock. A bit similar to Tides, if you've ever heard of them. If you'd like a listen, hit me up.
