I'm enjoying this so far.

I needs to be buying me that new Peter Gabriel album... now! It looks to be just my thing! Of course I am an old fan of his from way back, but aside from that, it sounds like an awesome concept... Gabriel does a whole buch of stripped back basic and symphonic covers of some older and more modern material from the likes of Radiohead, Bowie, Paul Simon and The Magnetic Feilds...I'm excited!

GusGus - Polydistortion (1997)

Trip-hoppish late 90's cult classic that makes you feel just as the cover depicts; floating in the depths of the deepest ocean, asleep, with a smoldering joint on hand. You can't go wrong with this album.

Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic (1974)

Next to Aja, this is probably the strongest Steely Dan album in terms of songwriting, being catchier and a tad less radio-friendly than either Can't Buy A Thrill or Countdown To Ecstacy. Dunno why it took me so long to pick this up...

Local Natives - Gorilla Manor (2009)

Like a punchier and less folksy Fleet Foxes. In other words, anyone who likes catchy alt. rock will think this is the bomb, including myself.

The new High on Fire album Snakes for the Divine was released a few days ago. I'm reeling it in right now.

Excellent group, one of the few American shoegaze bands worth giving a shit about. I only have On Fire but it's definitely worth a listen or two.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
