The Smiths - Meat Is Murder (1985)

Got this classic in FLAC and converted to 320 kbps, resulting in an awesomeness that sounded better than the copy I had before.

Vangelis - Blade Runner OST (1994)

My new favorite background music to a 2:00 AM drive through the city when everything is dark, strange and desolate.

All the found samples they used and the tape loops and everything were so damn effective.

my mistake also 'cause K.U.K.L. put out two albums on that label and they are scary as hell. real face melters. Always wanted to hear the 'Bullshit Detector' samplers as well, will report back if i can find em

I agree. I always loved how contradictory Crass was as a whole but most give them a listen and determine them to be ****ty because their point wasn't being good at their instruments.

I have a huge soft spot for Poison Girls, their singer being a housewife-turned-anarcho singer/guitarist

which version is this, because there are several? I managed to come across the stupidly comprehensive one (includes the geisha billboard music and all the rest), believe i have it on megaupload if anyone's interested. I would love to have heard this objectively, not as a fan of the film, but it would almost certainly still be singularly fantastic regardless

Oh, it is indeed fantastic regardless of whether or not you have seen the film. Even as somebody who generally gets bored by over the top synths, I can safely say this is a masterpiece for sure.

The track listing for mine looks like this, which is just the original 1994 release if I recall-

1. Main Titles (3:42)
2. Blush Response (5:47)
3. Wait for Me (5:27)
4. Rachel's Song (4:46)
5. Love Theme (4:56)
6. One More Kiss, Dear (3:58)
7. Blade Runner Blues (8:53)
8. Memories of Green (5:05)
9. Tales of the Future (4:46)
10. Damask Rose (2:32)
11. Blade Runner (End Titles) (4:40)
12. Tears in Rain (3:00)

along with dozens of bootlegs there's an official 3 disc version out there that is well worth checking out. disc 2 is more music from the film, and disc 3 is new stuff Vangelis composed in the same style.
