:( Man, for 'Let Robeson Sing' and 'So Why So Sad' alone it deserves something, there may be some slightly off-colour songs on there but it has nostalgia value for me... plus production wise it was a step back in the right direction after the preceding one (refuse to say it's name because even that makes me yawn)... aye-moh. honestly can't see why it gets so much flack

The Fiery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat

So... that was quite the album... I wish that some of the songs were better paced though because it seemed like every idea in the world was crammed into every song and it artificially lengthened them. Other than that it was a terrific album, very unique, and while it may be something I won't listen to every day, definitely something I'd listen to again.

Los Campesinos! - Romance Is Boring

Nothing too remarkable about this, i feel like i've heard it all before. There's too many bands around at the moment releasing stuff like this and Los Campesinos! are unfortunately nowhere near the top of the pile.

Pantera - Cowboys From Hell

Of course I had this on CD back in the day. I eventually sold it sometime during college, but reacquired it in MP3 format a few years ago, but it somehow worked its way off my computer (corrupt files, perhaps). But yesterday I had the desire to acquire it again. In high school I drew cemetery gates on my chemistry book cover.

I will play it now because the ****ers in the office next to me are talking too loud as usual. STFU! <cranks up music>

hehe I did the same thing with Venom's logo on my Algebra book. The school was not impressed and forced me to buy it.

Anyhow, I'm going to assume that these guys picked their name because of The Tick and his famous "SPOOOON" battle cry.

I downloaded these yesterday based on Conan's recommendation. I've only listened to the first three or four songs from Ready to Die...I ain't so sure this is for me. But I'm going to listen to them all the way through first before deciding.

Actually back then we were required to use protective book covers (typically made out of paper grocery bags) so we could draw whatever we wanted to them. I was used to that meaning associated with "book cover", I should have specified. I drew all kinds of metal band logos on those things.

OH we did that too, I just never bothered because I'm horrible at folding. The only thing I'm good at folding is laundry and that's because I spent 6 hellish months working in a clothing store. Actually I have to say that I can now pack a **** ton more clothing when traveling, but still people who don't give a damn about clothing should never work with it. I remember in 10th grade I got sent to a the school therapist because I did a horrible rendition of Suicidal Tendencies' logo in my biology book and the school thought I was feeling suicidal
