Autolux - Future Perfect

Been aware of this for a while but never checked it out, this recent discussion has me saying "why not"....so here I go downloading. I don't know if I'll like it but it's worth a shot.

BTW LoathsomePete, your Rateyourmusic.com image isn't showing, because they don't allow image hotlinking.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

A friend gave me a few of their albums the other day and I've been really getting into them. I probably like Black Sheep Boy the best so far though.

Oh and, thanks to Jackhammer.

I enjoyed it on the first few listens through, the rhythm section holds the chaotic noisy elements together really well.

^ Uh...there isn't a rhythm section. It's all done on a drum machine that I think they programmed modeling David Witte's technique.

PROUD MARY - THE SAME OLD BLUES (2001)

Indie/rock with slight touches of country and blues. Some nice little harmonies and melodies. Far from an adventurous album but i had to download this again as it was something i listened to quite alot in my youth when it first came out. It's good for a quick listen/chill out every now and then.

One of my favourite M-B albums.

A bassist and a drum machine is still a rhythm section.

Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

I liked Uncle Tupelo but for some reason I never really looked into Wilco until now. Considering how highly regarded this album is on both this forum and other forms of media I expect it to make my head explode with awesomeness. If I am not wiping awesomeness off my computer monitor later on tonight I am going to be very disappointed.
