Close to the Edge - Yes Prehistoricisms - Intronaut Really nice, aggressive sludge metal. In vein of Burst, The Ocean, Isis, etc. |

Res - Black.Girls.Rock! Yeah, so I didn't even know she had another album out, and supposedly it came out in 2008. :\ This is only her second album, the first of which came out in 2001 (How I Do). Gotta say, this newer one is really a let down. I absolutely loved the first album and this one just seems kinda bland in comparison. Not happy.

Ah, what a bummer... you just gotta hate it when someone whose work you previously loved comes out with spmething disappointing, that truly sucks.

It's not an immediately rewarding album, but with a few listens this is fcking good.

^ Not really branching out, but getting the odd album by the old favourites that I should have got a long time ago. Dusk there is the followup to the amazingly amazing Mind Bomb, recorded by the same lineup too, so I'm really looking forward to giving that a go in particular. |
