New to this forum, my first post. Just bought the Charlotte Gainsbourg record. Not sure how to rate it yet...sounds alright.
Being part of this forum will hopefully get me into even more of high quality music (in all genres) |

That's an understatement, I'm on my fourth spin so far... I love the song "Bernie" most... it's like a weird blend of Bush, Alice in Chains, and Weezer.
Edit: I also decided to grab their follow up album: Failure - Fantastic Planet and Handsome Boy Modeling School - So... How's Your Girl? |

Fantastic Planet is also very nice. I'm actually getting chills right now thinking about their music...I must play them again soon. Hasn't been that long since the last time, but still. They are great. I hate to think of them in relation to Bush as I pretty much hate Bush, but I see where you're coming from. They do have that common "alternative rock" sound. There are other bands I usually compare Failure to but I can't remember at the moment.

It's like Siouxsie from Siouxsie and the Banshees was put in an isolation room with lots of reverb and as few instruments as possible. Lo Fi Goth is it even a genre? Judging by this it is and it has potential.
