Black Monk Time is great, but Here Are The Sonics!!! is better, with more memorable songs.

Hard to choose, but I feel the Sonics album loses a bit of originality by having so many rock 'n' roll covers. I'm also a sucker for experimentation, and the Monks do incorporate elements of it in some of their songs, such as "Higgle-Dy-Piggle -Dy," with its noisy, feedback-driven guitar solo. I love the spastic, dissonant keyboard parts and the rhythmic banjo-playing that's featured in some of the tracks, too.

Plus, my avatar sort of speaks for itself (it's supposedly Dave from The Monks)...
