It`s an easy decision really. Vanilla Fudge weren`t a particuarly good band and just played mostly covers with a loud psychedelic sound, but their first two albums were reasonably interesting. The debut of It`s a Beautiful Day is a good album but Traffic wins hands down. This Traffic album their second is an absolute classic both Dave Mason and Steve Winwood were at their best together here. Even if the Traffic debut "Mr.Fantasy" had been selected, it would`ve still won over the other two.

Well this was surprising. I listened to Vanilla Fudge first, and was quite impressed... despite playing only covers, it definitely shows off a signature style, and I enjoyed it a lot. After I listened I felt sure that it was going to be the winner.

Next was Traffic... I had heard good things, and it was definitely good. It wasn't great, but it was good.

And then It's A Beautiful Day... completely blew the other two out of the water. I'm not entirely sure what it was about it, but something about that delicious combination of jazz, psychedelia, and classical string orchestrations just made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I loved it. Almost every song was a five star song. My only regret after is that I just wish I could give it more than one point.
