I'm glad you mentioned this. For the submitting process, I'm thinking about the best way to do it. With the winner moves on format, just submitting a versus match would be difficult to sync up with the next battle. I'm thinking each person will submit a few albums, and I will randomly choose who faces who. I'm not sure if I'll limit the pool of albums or not. I'll have a decision before the final day of voting Saturday. |

One more day of voting left! Album with 4 tracks or less has the lead, but 90-95 albums are not far behind.
Regardless, the first person to submit a battle will be the first one posted in the thread. Once that happens, I'll take individual challengers to go up against the winner. Please suggest one album at a time for now. I want to see how this set up works before I start taking more albums and making things more complicated. First come, first serve. I'll also have the guidelines for what can be submitted under the theme. Albums from 1990-1995- 4 Debut albums - 2 Albums issued with a Parental Advisory sticker- 0 Albums with 4 tracks or less - 5 |

Ok, I am calling it. Our first new theme for Album Wars: Beat the Champ will be...
Albums with 4 tracks of less Pretty self explanatory. 1. The albums you choose must have 4 tracks or less 2. Movements and sub tracks within a track don't count as a track each. 3. No EPs, just LPs. First person to submit a battle to me via PM will be the first one up in the thread. As soon as I get something, we will start. |

Alright! Courtesy of Jack Pat and his inter-continental ballistic Santa, we have our first battle with the new format.

Or two impressive works of early free improvisation.
EDIT: Actually, the Takayanagi/Abe album is the only obscure one out of the two. AMM is heralded as one of the best and most original groups of free improvisation. So they are rather famous... in the experimental music community at least. Last edited by TockTockTock; 01-21-2012 at 04:05 PM. |
