Queens of the Stone Age win that one sided battle 10-2. If you`ve got any album choices for the thread PM me.

I sincerely suggest giving Songs for the Deaf a listen if you never have. I honestly didn't like QtoSA all that much the first few times I heard them but that album is such a grower it completely turned me around.

Next up these two post hardcore albums thanks to Jack Pat. Again take a few lines explaining your choice.

Shellac - At Action Park

Fairly difficult as I love both albums. The drumming is supreme on both, which is something I always note as a drummer myself. The guitar tone Albini gets in Shellac is one of my favourites of any band though, and I find myself listening to Shellac and this album more than NoMeansNo. These are my favourite albums by both these bands so it was a tough one but Shellac ftw - helped perhaps by the fact I've seen them live twice, and they were mindblowing both times. At Action Park is just a stunning record from front to back.

man.....this is by far the toughest war i've participated in

yep

Shellac 2
NoMeansNo 0

like GravitySlips...i LOVE both of these bands.....but by far At Action Park is just a better album than Wrong.....it would have been much more difficult to choose had the album been Worldhood of the World (As Such) and or Why Do They Call Me Mr Happy?....Wrong is a great album but by No Means (get it) their best....whereas i think At Action Park is like Mary Poppins.......Practically Perfect In Every Way

good war jack

Not the sort of thing I normally listen to but glad I did, two great listens and I`ve gotta go with the Shellac album here (never realised Steve Albini was in this band) always loved the Atomizer album with Big Black BTW along with his production style. If the battle were based on covers then NoMeansNo would`ve won with that great cover.

Shellac 3
NoMeansNo 0

Shellac: 3
NoMeansNo: 1

Going with NoMeansNo... I feel that some of the songs on At Action Park tend to get a bit repetitive after a while. Both are good albums though... I wouldn't have chosen them if they weren't.

Shellac win that battle 3:1. Next up these three classic albums by Il Duce and imo any hard rock collection needs to have these albums. Again take a few lines explaining your choice.

Cream Disreali Gears 1967

Versus

Jimi Hendrix Experience Are You Experienced? 1967

Versus

Who Tommy 1969
