It's a shame nobody cares, despite people calling for a revival of this thread.

I understand people hate the RHCP, but that Fishbone album is an absolute classic...

Truth and Soul is great but nothing beats Freaky Styley (except Mother's Milk of course).

Chili Peppers: 3
Fishbone: 0

I never liked Fishbone enough to check out their albums. So it wouldn't really be fair for me to vote without hearing the album. I like Freaky Styley though.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

People have to bring themselves to listening to Fishbone (let alone, RHCP)?

Bring up new albums... Here, I'll give a few names from the sixties: Piper at the Gates of Dawn (Pink Floyd), Forever Changes (Love), Are You Experienced (Jimi Hendrix), Velvet Underground and Nico (The Velvet Underground), etc... Hell, name a few experimental albums. Just not RHCP...

Although I enjoy and have more respect for Fishbone as a whole, I'd have to say Freaky Styley gets my point. Problem is that Truth sounds like a collection of songs that were just slapped together haphazardly and completely lacking in flow. I find that the Fishbone releases of the 80s worked when they were shorter and to the point ("Fishbone", "It's a Wonderful Life"). However, if you had put Reality of My Surroundings up against Freaky Styley (or any other RHCP release for that matter) it would be an entirely different story.
