Contrary to popular belief, not liking a genre of music isn't close-minded... Unless you give it a good try.

I think V&F said he made the effort of listening to Murmur twice before casting his vote, some people don't even bother listening once.

So he listened to both and voted for the album he liked most, nothing wrong with that.

i would argue that discounting anything based on such a trivial thing as a genre is grounds for being described as close-minded.

Just a good bit of fun. Though I do try and listen to both albums before I cast my vote, but only if I'm in the mood.

I listened to the album as I posted in this thread. You'll notice that in my response to your post I used past tense about which R.E.M. songs I *had* heard...
