I bet he's heard 4 or 5 but doesn't know he has... Everyone's heard Shiny Happy People as well.

I know I'd heard 'The One I Love' and 'Losing My Religion' before the matchup, and said "like" because I'd figured there had been another one I had heard.

Anyways, I listened to Murmur a couple times and it bored me.

The reason your post didn't make sense to me, Janszoon, was because you said this earlier in the thread:

And I thought you were being facetious at the time. Now, I see that you were being straightforward then too and I don't know what you failed to understand. I voted for Let It Be because it *rocks harder*...

he was basically asking whether something "rocking harder" or not should be basis to vote the album or not. most people vote which one is superior. however in your case it may be that "rocking harder" means "better".

Haha usually yes, it does.

Especially if I'm voting between an album I have in my collection but have only listened to a few times and merely didn't mind it or an album I'm groovesharking as I type and not enjoying much at all...

As far as I can tell I didn't fail to understand anything. I was just pointing out to you how ridiculous is to not judge an album based on what it is intended to be. It's like voting against a Slayer album for not being mellow enough.

It's not that he voted AGAINST the album, he just voted for the album he preferred because he prefers albums that 'rock hard'

If you're into really 'mellow' music, and a battle comes up Coldplay vs Slayer, you're going to vote for Coldplay if that's the type of music you're into.

I'd vote for which album is better, not which album is most mellow.

I'm with you, I'd do the same. But I understand V&F's thought process. He votes for the album with the style of music he prefers which is fair enough I guess.

Or choosing something over Slayer because you don't like heavy music?
