Of course there's always exceptions to the rule, In this case Fishbone.
But it's years since I last listened to them.

For shame. I honestly don't think Incubus (or 311 for that matter) sound that generic. If someone can find me a band that you think sound like Incubus before Incubus, I'd like that person to show me so I can laugh at his/her incompetence and lack of hearing. I imagine Faith No More is gonna come up. Fungus Amongus has a very strong Mike Patton influence but I think Incubus came into their own after that. Quote:
The last few posters did it on their own but you can send me nominations and I'll make it the next matchup when this one dies out. Originally my policy was that once an album got 5 votes, it was the victor and the next matchup would start but people disliked that fornula because it made matchups too brief so instead I'm letting matchups last until people stop voting and then the next one starts. Unfortunately now people think I'm just being lazy. |

I'm not letting it happen again I'm just letting the last two slide by because the previous matchups were dead.

Have to agree, that both these bands are kind of dull with their funk influenced rock but if I had to choose I`d then go with Incubus.
S.C.I.E.N.C.E 5 Grassroots 0 I think the first to 5 is a good idea, but only if there is a clear margin like this album war, if tight then it should stay open until the votes stop coming in (a reasonable time of course) Despite the albums being poor, well done to Violent & Funky anyway for keeping it going with this selection. |

No I'm ditching the first to 5 rule, I want the matchups to stick around long enough for anyone to vote, otherwise they can go by way too damn fast and people don't get to vote just because a bunch of noobs who will never post again voted for an album until it got to 5. I could do a first to 10 rule but then I think matchups would be dragged out too long and people would start changing votes just to rush it along or skip to the next matchup anyway and that's no good.
And Science is a very not poor album. |
