Midnight Oil... they didn't do over the top fancy solos, they weren't glamrous, they stuck to their guns and took on many of our worlds biggest issues.... racism, global warming, eloitation... and they did it all without releasing one single dud album, and barely a bad song.
They are one of my all my favorite bands.

new Guns N' Roses is really underrated too. They are really good. People expect them to sound like old Guns N' Roses, but they want to sound like themselves, and not something they aren't. I would give them an 8/10 on playing old Guns N' Roses songs.

I also have a feeling that because Midnight Oil deals with all the big issues people are put off them for some reason. I know a lot of white australians who are put off them by their songs about racism and aboriginal land rights etc. Or maybe i just move in really racist circles... |

Jon Oliva's Pain.
It's overshadowed by JO's main projects (Savatage, TSO), and lumped among the thousands of crappy side-projects. In fact, Maniacal Renderings rivals Savatage's best albums, and is one of heavy/progressive metal's finest albums. |

Ahhh, ok! Who is burzum? Please clarify!
For my mind Midnight Oil always stood out because they were white Aussies highlighting the issues they championed... that cqan often take a whole lotta balls to call out your own society on some of it's deepest ills... and they got criticised up and down and all over the place... but they SAID something when it needed to be said and for that they gotta be commended.
