Yeah, they're not underrated whatsoever. They're one of the few bands that get just as much recognition as they deserve. They've always been one of my favorites.

Maybe not underrated because they only made one album, but The La's made their 1 album brilliantly, even though Lee Mathers hated it, I can't see why.

The perfect example of tortured artists, if they had made a second and a third, they could've been massive.

Gotta agree with you there... a great band busting to get out, but sadly, it was not to be. Sometimes the world is kinda cruel like that, and that truly does suck.

Yeah, i guess their not really underrated (RATM), Morello gets much love, but i think Zack might be a underrated lyricist. Maybe not, i just don't hear alot of talk about him when lyrics are the topic. What do ya'll think?

He's a great lyricist; particularly the first three albums. But I think he's the kind of dude that doesn't ask for a whole lot of recognition. I'm guessing he had more of an agenda behind his music as opposed to just becoming famous and making a living off of his art.

As far as hardcore protest lyrics go, he's right up there with my all time favorites, Midnight Oil. The outrage is there, the irony, the anger.... darn good stuff!

Whipping Boy.Very well regarded by those in the know in Ireland, sadly very much ignored in the outside world despite their work aging ever so well.

I've heard of them but not any of their music... what are they generally like?
