hehehehehe... But I still eat vegemite, haven't lost my accent and think Americans can be odd (but mostly loveable!)
Actually my being here has alot to do with the wonderful life partner I chose and the fact she has a little guy who still loves his dad despite his parents no longer being together... Mrs. Scottsy would have otherwise backed her belongings and moved to Adelaide years ago... My new Avatar is a photo of Port Noarlunga Beach, where we married under a nice warm Oz sun... the actual ceremony took place to the right of the jetty...

It depends how you rate them. No one's going to say the Beatles were as good musicians as say,, Yes and their early stuff hasn't stood the tesst of time, IMO 'cause it sounds dated, poorly recorded with trite lyrics and some ropey singing.

One could, however say the Beatles were underrated musicians in certain genres of music... perhaps they weren't rated highly as a jazz or folk band, but showed some potential using these styles in their body of work...
... in that sense the Beatles can be considered underrated in some way at least... That maay have been very poorly worded, I am pretty damn tired...

^ Martin Scorsese thinks so too ... Donno why he was the one who wrote the review for the HELP! dvd ... anyway he thinks The Beatles were underrated because the people weren't surprised anymore when the band releases two perfect albums by year ... it was normal for the Beatles to release that many original good songs.

I checked out Aereogramme, and holy **** I was blown away. And here I didn't believe in love at first sight.
I have to include Floater in here, because I doubt anyone not from the northwest has heard of 'em. They are local, but by no means does that mean you shouldn't check them out. I believe they were voted top local band in Oregon (if it wasn't first, it was certainly second). |
