Erm...Silverchair, I guess.
I think silverchair is just a big Nirvana knock-off, but maybe that's why you think they are underrated, probably because a lot of people (including me) think that silverchair are nirvana wannabes and maybe they are something more to their music.

Nirvana knock off? I haven't really given it much thought. I just think they're good and I seem to be the only one who likes them. Besides, isn't Nirvna a knockoff of say, the Meat Puppets? I dunno.

silverchair WAS a huge nirvana/grunge knock off when they started out. the bulk of the singles from frogstomp were clearly lifted from the grunge scene of the day but no one really said anything because they were teenagers and the singer was like the cute / non-junkie version of cobain. the riff to 'israel's son' is a straight lift of soundgarden's 'outshined'.

as for myself and this thread topic i don't think there's such a thing as 'most' underrated ever but i do think i mother earth deserved a little more praise than what they got when they were around.

I think Silverchair has done much to seperate themselves from their early image though.... not to say their more recent albums have been all that great though.... far from it.... they've become all rather MOR pop sounding with age...

The post, however, was not.

This whole thread is a joke really, most of the artists are mediocre bands that people wish were more liked.
