Gabriel era Genesis are VERY underrated by the general public. I think that's what Neo meant.
They're certainly not underrated among prog fans. Phil era Genesis however is. I think Phil era Genesis were good up until Invisible Touch. Though even that album has Land of Confusion. And I still love that song. Though the rest of the album is pretty much crap, and We Can't Dance is complete utter shit too. And the less said of Ray Wilson the better. |

Modest Mouse. If there's at least 1 person in the world that doesn't like them, that means they're underrated.

I dont think they are exactly mindblowing or anything though. Perhaps they should get a wee bit more recognition but to be honest I think they are pretty much in the right place. One thing I will say is that I was surprised at the vocals when I first listened to them. I recentley listened to a band I had been meaning to listen to for ages called British Sea Power who remind me of them. I have two albums 'Good News For People Who Love Bad News' (2004) & the more recent one with Johnny Marr- 'We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank' (2007), my favourite being the one they did with Johnny Marr. Heres my entry, I think John S. Hall's work the lyrics in particular are very underrated. The music at times can be excellent but what hes talking about over it i.e 'f*cking in the street' is a load of nonsense lol. I think this song speaks a lot of sense:

F*ck Ive been meaning to post this stuff for ages. This is Roland Orzabal's 2000 solo album which was so underlooked that he hasnt made one since. Here I have tried to find as many songs off the album as I can. If anybody is interested in the album, I can try & sort you out with a link.
Give these a listen & youll know what I mean: My personal favourite: Surprisingly, I was amazed to find just about every single song off the album (10/12) on youtube. Enjoy! |

Faces, w/Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood had a sh___t load of great songs. Highly infuential. Their best rockers are => than the Stones.
