Best and Worst Song Re-do's

when a band remakes one of their own songs later on in their career, it can be great and total sh*t as well.

I seem to remember Iron Maiden re-recording some of the songs off their first album for some B sides with Bruce Dickenson on vocals.

They were bloody awful , all the energy of the debut album & Dianno`s attitude gone from them.

Bruce completely owned the Dianno-era songs when I saw Maiden live last year.

When I first heard Bowie's new start to Rebel Rebel, I hated it.
After watching it live as the opening song, I love it.

I pretty sure almost all Techno bands do at least 2 crap versions of an original track.

Best: APC - Imagine
Worst: Forever Young, GnR & Avril - Knocking on Heavens Door...and heaps more.
