I'd never heard of the guy until he died. Of course, I'm an old fart, so there are a lot of people in the music world I've never heard of.
Getting back to the original topic, I don't recall Ted Nugent dumping on the guy's guitar playing, just his lifestyle. It's not like he was singling the guy out. I've been a Ted Nugent fan for 30 years, and have seen him live several times. He has always had this stance on drug and alcohol use. He didn't just come up with this since this Dimebag guy got killed. The only thing, musically, I read in the original post, was that he didn't like their (Pantera's) version of Cat Scratch Fever. He's the man who wrote it and recorded it, so I suppose he's entitled to his opinion. And my opinion is, Cat Scratch Fever is one of Nugent's absolute worst songs ever. Snakeskin Cowboys Motor City Madhouse Stormtroopin' Great White Buffalo Workin' Hard, Playin' Hard Turn It Up Dog Eat Dog Death By Misadventure Hibernation Stranglehold There's 10 right off the top of my head that are far better than C.S.F.
