Question Favorite Guitarist

so if you had to pick your favorite guitarist, who would it be, and why?

i'd have to go with a classic, jimi hendrix. For one thing, i think that his technical skill is amazing, and he's got a style that's truly unique. Mostly though, its the passion and energy he puts into his riffs, absolutely unbelievable and unmatched in my opinion.

I would also have to go with Jimi Hendrix ...for pretty much the same reasone ...also, didnt he play the guitar with a toilet paper role behind his back or was that just something I remembered that did happen?

Here's a thought; let's stop labeling music and fighting over what genre a certain band is, and start listening to whatever pleases our ears no matter what anyone thinks of it! ;)

I have to say that i totally agree with jibber.Oustanding talent surely one of the most influential if not the most of all time.
You can only hope and pray that music will see another genius of this mans capacity again at some point.Though i havn't seen one yet.

Default Totally sad and obsessed!

Completely unable to be objective and cannot love any guitarist quite so much as John Frusciante at the moment.

Why? Well because I'm obsessed with his music, absolutely love his timing, chord changes, quick and unusual melodies, and the way he plays is so energetic, so passionate, so vigorous, so totally involved, so completely absorbed. No disrespect to the classic greats, he is a great to me.
