angus young has technical skill, but really, he plays the same solo over and over. mostly because ac/dc's songs all sound pretty much the same. i wouldn't say he's the best by any means.

I see a lot of this thinking the best guitarists are those of are of the music/band you listen to. But with all integrity, Yngwie Malmsteen has to be the best in terms of speed. Yngwie isnt really on my list of favorite songs, because I am into harder music than what he does, but he has some of the best layers and fastest melodies Ive heard that actually doesnt sound like crap. And whats the deal with this thinking that Dime and Page are better?! I mean cmon people.

Herman Li is just as fast, but thats just judging from the Yngwie ive heard.

I was afraid to say it, but I too dispise Dream Theater. It's one of those bands that have 1 really great member, and the rest of the band is crap, except the drummer is decent I suppose. They just never agreed with me a bit.

Woah, thats like what I think except you can actually explain it.

Oh and Kashmir, Mike Portnoy is a prettty fabulous drummer. But like the band DT, he is no fun.

Yeah Petrucci is really talented. Why don't you like Dream Theater? They're one of my favourite bands.
