[QUOTE=bungalowbill357I just usually skip over the solos on songs.
Especially if theyre long and drawn out and epic and such.
[/QUOTE]
So opposite of me... I sometimes skip right to the solos... The music I enjoy would not be the same without solos

wow, its been a while since anyone has posted in this thread, but what the hey. I've change my opinion since my last post, and id have to say Teppei Teranishi from Thrice. i think it was Jibber who hit the nail on the head with one of her first posts on this thread. That the main aspect of teppei or thrice for that matter, is that everything flows perfectly. And i own every song theyve producd and i am yet to find ONE not so good riff, or any part of guitar. the man is simply amazing, along with Thrice.
Also so Rob from Strung Out is a rad guitarist too.

What? No love for Thurston Moore or Lee Ranaldo?

A lot of people are doing this all wrong. Saying Jimi Hendrix isn't a great guitarist because a lot of modern guitarists can play his material is like saying Ernest Hemingway isn't a great author because a lot of modern authors can use bigger words than he did. If you're judging guitarists simply based on their ability to play notes quickly, you have at best a rudimentary idea of what art truly is.

Hendrix is a pretty obvious choice for the most creative guitarist, but what about people like Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine, and Diamand Darrell from Pantera/Damage Plan. They are/were some great creative guitarists.
