The third was actually YorkeDaddy, because he likes absolutely everything.
And you can take solace from the fact that
a. You are not alone
b. Nothing we can say will make you change your minds

I've got to be honest, I don't think I could stick up for someone so outrageous on a forum like this.

I'm sure there are more, but just didn't want to get into a ludicrous argument with people who don't get it, like I sucker myself into constantly.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

Live and let live. People are always going to like, or "get" different things.

You are like, totally superior to me. I mean, like, how "ludicrous" must I be to argue with you that a particular guitarist SUCKS.
Sir, you mustn't "sucker" yourself into another argument with a plebian such as myself. We like, can't GET what it is you see in Keiji, so we must be, like totally worthless and retarded sheep like human beings.

I like Keiji Haino, discovered him a while ago when I was getting into bands like Fushitsusha & Les Rallizes Denudes. Some of his stuff is bloody brilliant, other stuff comes off as a serenade of garbage disposals. He kind of reminds me of Yamantaka Eye's early projects in a way (and I'm sure he exerted a good bit of influence on him & early Boredoms in particular), especially Hanatarash.

I listened to a little bit of Pathetique and it was... ok. However, pretty much all of the videos that were posted in this thread of Keiji Haino were complete wankery.

I don't really listen to music for the guitarwork...not in the main anyway.

Bill Frisell is best at creating ambient atmospheres with his guitar-work though, and has a real knack for carrying whatever band he's in.

John Jorgenson (particularly for his work with the Desert Rose Band) is one of my favourite soloists, with stuff that fit seamlessly with the songs around them and are really melodic as well.

Robert Fripp's one of the best I've heard at taking any song he's on to the next level with an inhuman solo or two, not to mention his being another lad with a talent for creating atmosphere with his guitar.

The sounds that Blixa Bargeld can make on his guitar are out of this world, and often have to be heard to be believed.

And James Dean Bradfield's ability to both front a band and play lead guitar parts at the same time gets him a lot of browny points in my books, even if I'm not a fan of his work over the last 5-odd years.

So, if I had to pick a best guitarist, it'd be one of them.

Out of curiosity, what do you rank among his best and worst works? Personally, I found So, Black Is Myself (1997), To Start With, Let's Remove the Colour!! (2002), and Next, Let's Try Changing the Shape (2004) to be a few of his weaker albums.

The only problem I had with that album was the 44 minute track. I'm all for hour-long noise pieces, but that one was just incredibly dull, and it couldn't hold my attention for very long.

By the way, I'm happy to see that you're at least giving his music a shot...

Yea, I see what you're saying, and you could very much use that word to describe the first video posted of him (maybe) as well as his collaboration with Tatsuya Yoshida, but... I wouldn't say that about his acoustic guitar improv nor the song of his that I posted earlier ("My Only Friend").

Oh, and I just now got your name... it's a Venture Brothers reference, isn't it?
