The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

It's obvious, it is a labour of love. A well thought of and well executed concept, pre-dating the availability of photoshop and computer graphics.

But nevertheless coming many decades after boatloads of beautifully done collages and photomontages. Here's a famous one, for example, that pre-dates Sgt. Pepper's by nearly half a century:
