Artists you like but you don't know why...
 

Mine would have to be David Bowie. He can't sing particularly well, I don't understand most of his lyrics and I usually don't go for music out of my own generation... but there's just something about his music that makes me listen.

Rage Against The Machine, i never thought i'd like rap metal, but i adore this band.

Green Day, love thier music but I can never understand why.

Savage Garden, i used to be there biggest fans back in 1996-1997 but yea i still adore them, and know all the words to there st cd. Anyways yea they were never that cool here.. but :love: i don't know why i fell inlove with this band.

Listen to his falseto vocals on Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Station To Station and other 70s stuff.... Then his great tenor vocals on Let's Dance and a lot of his 80s work.... He's no Freddie Mercury but he still has a pretty impressive vocal range, being able to go from high to low like that... And i agree with Urban, he has one of the most unique voices around, not a bad singer at all.

Had you said to me a few years back i`ll be listening to a band who wrote old English folk rock with a female vocallist I would have laughed in your face.

Yeah, I said Modest Mouse too. I mean, sometimes his voice makes me want to kill puppies. But the songs sure are catchy and fun.

I'm not saying he doesn't have a distinctive voice. I haven't heard the songs that Boo Boo mentioned, but from what I've heard (and I have heard a lot) then I wouldn't say he is brilliant. Yes, he does have a distinctive voice but then so does Alex Turner and everyone hates the Arctic Monkeys. I think David Bowie is brilliant and is one of my main musical inspirations, but I just can't understand why I like his music so much.

Actually, those were albums that i referenced, not songs.
