How can you not see the man as talented? He can play the guitar and piano to a reasonable standard, which means he is talented. Saying otherwise is stupid.

I hear better musicians in my local pub playing jazz every Friday night

You probably do, and they are talented. Being able to pick up an instrument and play it to a decent standard is a talent. I've had this argument in so many threads and I know I will always be in the right on this one...

Does it count as talent if I made my father an ashtray when I was 8 in arts and crafts?

Yes, but only a minor one. There are different levels of talent, and making an ashtray when you was 8 probably comes in under the lower levels, but it is still a (minor) talent nonetheless.

Talent is defined as the natural endowments of a person, a special often creative or artistic aptitude.

The poeple you're refering to are just practiced, not nessacarily talented.

Well, Blunt does have a talent for writing the kind of really lame "stalker" love ballads that radio stations love.... Being so successful in a short matter of time for making such crappy music must require a talent of some kind.

Kinda like how Jessica and Ashlee Simpson have become so rich and popular for having no talent, which means they actually have some kind of talent for making a lot of money for not doing anything... Paris Hilton has mastered this art more than anyone in history, making her the most talented at being a talentless whore.

He doesn`t though

He just wrote the lyrics , even the Spice Girls managed that.
Guy 'Shoot me i`m responsable for Robbie Williams' Chambers wrote all his songs.
