i had to switch back to iTunes for about a month because MediaMonkey wouldn't recognize my AAC files for some reason, i think i cried myself to sleep every night until the latest beta came out.
seriously iTunes is just fucking awful.

Ah, I missed that last part somehow since I sorta just scrolled over. I think I musta just assumed that WMP would take the bottom spot, cause it was always near the bottom of those lists. Honestly, I went into that link just thinking they would be the biggest loser as well.
Interesting that Itunes is actually dead last. |

Yep, before I switched I thought Itunes was the absolute best. Easy mistake to make though, seeing as it is the shiniest and has all the toys. In reality though most people who say that are just too used to it, and it's toys aren't even that good anyway- plus most of them want you to buy their shit
All and all Itunes is terrible for your computer, I would suggest getting Revo Uninstaller and level 4 uninstalling that crap and all the other programs that come with it. Things like Songbird and Foobar can not only handle a lot more but also have a way cooler toys. If you're like me though and just want a stable media player that looks nice and runs better then the rest, then trust me when I say Media Monkey is a god send. Do some research, it's true! |

so yeah, i originally converted my FLAC files, and when i did, they worked on the other media player, but the file size also increased by multiple times. so i ended up with songs that were 25-40 Megabytes when they were originally 4-6. not only was this a big waste of space for even a single song but my current mp3 player can only hold two gigs(sad i know). after a while of this crap i said **** Itunes/WMP and now i'm on the Winamp team. so with Winamp i could play plenty of different files which i'm really glad about AND keep them their original and more managable sizes. this is also why i'm glad i have an mp3 player that can play these different formats instead of an Ipod which i assume can't.

I have been thinking about making a switch but, alot of the obscure bands that I obsess over have their entire cataloge (including super rare singles and compilation tracks) on the Itunes store. Would Media Monkey still be able to play those files?

I just got mediamonkey, and I really like it, but I'm having some trouble with the last.fm scrobbler. I went to the homepage and downloaded it, and it appears to have installed, but no scrobbling is happening! Someone help? |
