That's probably because your music is in a format such as FLAC which doesn't work with iTunes. This is actually easy to convert, but you probably want to stick to WinAmp anyways. I only use iTunes cause I'm too lazy to make a switch. I've been thinking about trying foobar though.

go MediaMonkey, it's stellar. no down-time, compatible with all mp3 players (including iPods), good for large collections (50,000+ songs), doesn't fuck with your source files, and there's about a million awesome things you can do with it to organize your collection.

I started using it this past year. It's convenient. Not only for music purchases, but I also have bought ring tones, a movie, and some tv shows.

Is there and additional download to make it scrobble to last.fm?

Being that it's the default music player for Mac I've never used anything else. It is quite the memory hog though, but the fact that the Itunes store is my favorite place to e-browse and that I'm really not OCD at all about organizing my music makes that flaw quite negligiable.

Agree as well. I switched to MediaMonkey a few weeks ago, away from Winamp, and I'm completely sold. It's awesome.

^Interesting link there. Poor WMP...ends up looking pretty sh*tty if you go through and check out all the ratings for specific areas. Comes in last or tied for last in every category but one I think. ><

I've never used Itunes, but it doesn't look like it is much of an improvement judging by that battle.
