Winamp, have used it for years, always works well and is easy to use. I've never liked WMP and iTunes.

Foobar 2000, but it's an old version with a working version of Panels UI.

I'd use Winamp if you could get rip of some of the excess stuff, but otherwise it's definitely Fb2k for me. And I suspect it'll be rubbish, but I also have high hopes for the Windows version of Amarok.

I use iTunes, mostly.

It is so easy to create playlists in iTunes. Still haven't figured out how to do that easily in Windows Media Player. Winamp is nice, but it's just too... clunky. Too much stuff showing at the same time, and the visualization display is very buggy acting.

The only reason I began using iTunes was that it was just easier, since I was downloading a TON of stuff from there anyway. I don't like to switch between two programs for the same thing so I just stayed with iTunes.

I still use Windows Media Player, if only to rip cd's and watch videos, but for music, iTunes is the way to go.

Default Best media player???

Sorry if there is already a thread for this, but anyways.

Right now I use Winamp for my media player, and I've kinda been playin around with a few other to see what I like more, but I was wondering which media player you guys prefer and why. What are the advantages and features of it, and what issues does it have.

The reasons I use Winamp are; plays every file format I've tried playing in it, from FLAC to those stupid ACC files, and the layout is very customizable. Also it does play some videos. However I have had issues with it crashing, and the add-ons don't work as smoothly as they do an other open source media players such as Song Bird.

I just really like Itunes. As far as user-friendliness, it's the way to go.
