When I was growing up I had the liked of The Kinks , The Small Faces , T-Rex , The Specials , The Human League , The Cure , Elvis Costello , Blondie , Bowie , XTC , Kraftwerk , Siouxie & The Banshees , Frankie Goes To Hollywood , Prince , Grandmaster Flash and tons tons more from my mothers record collection.

I`d take that over Led Zep IV anyday

my dad influenced my tastes alot, he listened to punk and classic rock music. I listened to bands like the Clash, the Damned and the Buzzcocks, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Beatles, The Zombies etc growing up.

you're all lucky. I never really heard anything else besides country, old soft rock and musical songs until I consciously made the choice to listen to it later in life, like 8-12. Then I got introduced to hair metal, and 80s electronica and I love it all1

Creedence Clearwater Revival was my introduction to music since my dad was and still is a Fogerty freak.
