actually god knows how artists make money, it has to be cd sales because i remember reading about it and touring expecnces for most artists outweighs the profit they make i think there were only a select few bands that actually make a significant ammount of mony when they tour. i know ac/dc and the rolling stones do. and led zepplin could afford to just throw money away. but apart from that most bands barely make anything off touring.

I will download if its a big band. Like, the knid that arent going to miss my twenty bucks, ya know?
But smaller, like Dresden Dolls, DeVotchKa, Myriads etc. The ones that dont have a huge fanbase, and their CDs rarely hit stores(of course, Dresden Dolls are growing fast!). I will buy if I can find.

illegal downloading is killing the music industry. im so anti-it i dont even own the software myself. not only that, the fools who upload the files are ruthless rogues who think nothing of spraying viruses across the cyber spectrum. on the flipside i think legal downloading is both sensible, evolutionary and beneficial to the industry.

I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |
