I love both the Barret era and the Gilmour era, but the Gilmour era more, the songwriting was getting better, Gilmour was both a better singer and musician, and Waters is a far superior lyricist IMO.

Though Syds departure was a sad and unfortunate one, it also played a vital role in the bands evolution.

I think thats fair to say , I`d take Barretts solo stuff over anything Pink Floyd did after Animals any day of the week.

i'm glad that Barrett got knocked out of the band.. if he stayed in Pink Floyd they never would have been so great.. cause well he would only have taken them down..

i LOVE Pink Floyd, i wouldn't have liked them if Syd stayed with them tho.. I really dislike that dude, and his voice was ****.

I like what Pink Floyd came to be... they were amazing.. AMAZING!

well i think the arnold lang days and that crazy 60's/british sound was pretty sweet too. they're one of the onlt bands that really go from that genre into the art rock, and story telling sort. there are a few others, but you have to listen to what you like, and not listen to a band's certain era just because of what they are.

you like the days of Syd and i like the days of Waters and Gilmour..

everything happens for a reason.. and Syd going unnoticed was for a reason.. cause he was crap...
