well i think the arnold lang days and that crazy 60's/british sound was pretty sweet too. they're one of the onlt bands that really go from that genre into the art rock, and story telling sort. there are a few others, but you have to listen to what you like, and not listen to a band's certain era just because of what they are.

I love both eras, and i do agree that Barretts departare was good for the band, because it allowed the other members to prove their own songwriting and musical talents. I do think the Barrett era is a little underrated though. |
