Default Natalie Merchant

I wasn't exactly sure what genre she was, so you can move the topic wherever you want...

ANYWAY.

I liked her stuff a long time ago then she like...dissapeared. Now I found her again on AOL and I'm in love again ahaa. Her songs may be somewhat repeditive but I like them. The lyrics and the sound. "Wonder" is my favorite of hers at the moment..."Carnival" is good too. And, "Kind and Generous" is just wonderful to dedicate to someone you are thankful too.

Yes yes this is when you reply...
EDIT: I also like "Because The Night"...that's when she was in 10,000 Maniacs.

I really like Carnival...a real gem of the 90's. She had some solid songs

Patti Smith did it a whole lot better.

When you say you liked her a 'long long time ago', does this mean when you were 10, or 9?

Tigerlilly had that sparse, almost jazz-arranged sound that the early 90's proto-Lillith Faire crowd had an it's strangely a lost sound you don't hear much anymore. It had commonalities with bands like Morphine, triphop, and sort of sat between genres and I really wish all of these retro-acts would pick up and adopt some of this.
