Am I the only one who listens to CD's forewards only?
|
i listen to them the right way
ok what about that whole thing about the Judist Priest song Better By You Better Than Me, with the whole message of "do it" ive listened to it over and over to try to find it and cant hear shit. has anyone actauly truely heard these messages clear and very easy to understand? |
Wasn't there a song on the first Stone Roses album where they'd reversed the recording of another song on the album, listened to the vocals backwards, written words that sounded like those backwards vocals and then re-recorded the vocals with the new lyrics it generated?
Do you think that achieves a similar effect to backwards masking? |
I think it's a complete waste of your time to look for these things. If artists put subliminal messages in their music, they would announce it for some good ól publicity. So people would buy their cd and look for it.
Putting a message in, hoping some person without a hobby will play it backwards, and hear it, is useless. I can't imagine anyone doing this on purpose. |
I don't think there's anything wrong with putting it into the music in the first place. If you're bored, have a lot of studio time and wanted to arse around then it seems like a pretty good way to mess around with a track without really risking ****ing it up.
People who actually go and look for subliminal messages, however, are very, very sad. I'd have to disagree with you Alo when you say that nobody would look for backwards messages on purpose. The fact that there are so many rumours about subliminal things suggests that there are a number of people who do spend time looking for those messages. ****ing weirdos. |
Now I bet 99% of you people will go out and try to listen to your tracks backwards and see if you hear anything, yea???
|
Well, we've listened to them forwards enough times already. I'm going to listen to them backwards, then sideways, then upside down, then turned up to full volume, then on mute. Its the only way to fully appreciate the music. Any less and you're just being a superficial cog.
