Default Best New Band This Century

This is sort of based on previous discussion on which country makes the best music. (Actually this thread is purely self-serving. I don't listen to many new bands without a referral.) So who gets your vote? You can only vote for one and only if they first came out in 2000 or later.

Update: Give us a review of the band as well if you're so inclined. Tell us why you think they're all that.

Dissonant with Matt Pike's "High On Fire", Om detains more of the classic Sleep vibe, picking up where the highly regarded "Dopesmoker" left off. But this time, Al and Chris decided to formulate their colossal, earth-shaking music sans-guitar. Also withdrawn are the dope references precedently in Sleep's lyrics. Om tackles religious, philosophical, and mystical lyrical themes, fairly anomalous in the stoner metal world. However, these lyrics are not sung, but chanted as if some kind of incantation.

If you're a fan of Sleep, or any doom/stoner metal for that matter, Om just may be for you.

Actually, there is a really good local band(outside of detroit) called Day In Age. And everyone better watch for them, because they're going to be big someday. They are progressive/experimental rock. They draw influences from Bands like Pink Floyd and they are amazing live, recordings dont do them justice.

Yall can check out their music athttp://www.myspace.com/dayinage
