The nature of their music is simple , it`s just 12 bar boogie.Just because they don`t have 15 minute wankathon guitar solos doesn`t mean they`re bad musicians.AC/DC are one of the tightest live bands i`ve ever heard.

And for the record I don`t mean not technically gifted musicians in this thread, I mean real sh*t ones.

Ahh, my bad for misunderstanding, i dont think non technical musicians are bad musicians, many of my favorite bands and musicians are simple and non technical, but im so used to hearing the definition of "crappy musicians" as being all non technical musicians from pretty much everybody on DDD and elsewhere, bad habit i picked up.

And you are right, AC/DC were not about technical wankery, and a lot of people hate them for it too, which is both sad and funny at the time time.

Not all prog bands are technical though.

Pink Floyd being the biggest example (and they're my favorite), none of the members were very technical, except Richard Wright.

Musicians who use instruments for non musical purposes, basicly emphasizing on showing off ones technical chops over working on a melodic theme, usualy resulting in unbearable racket and noise thats great for driving away termites, examples.
