Best pop song of the 90's by far. Its deeply cynical lyrics which are song in a for the most part in Jarvis’ sex whisper like voice only erupting during the chorus are cloaked in up beat disco music. The song is about a girl Jarvis met in college who is very wealthy but yearns to be like a “common person”.

Have you heard William Shatner's cover of it? It's brilliant.
