I know, I have a Lynard Skynard and Sweet Greatest hits...I am not into them that much so it serves me fine because I like a couple songs.

I'm surprised Nico had any hits! I know what you mean though
Apparantly her album Desertshore is one of the most depressing things ever, i'm up for that.

^Get together with a few friends, go through a bottle of wine with the Nico album on, get out the blades and put it on youtube like a cool kid.

& Yeah. I have a large number of greatest hits albums... Edith Piaf (2), Janis Joplin (4), CCR (1), Fleetwood Mac (1), and a few more that slip my mind... but it's all good fun.

I think there's an unwritten law somewhere saying every single Post Punk band from 1980-1983 had to cover All Tomorrow's Parties at some point.

I could probably fill a 10 track compilation album post with just that one song.

Chelsea Girl is a classic, it's pretty much a VU album.

Well I have versions by

Nick Cave
Siouxsie and The Banshees
Japan
Japan (Alternate version)
Blue Orchids
The Models

My Dad owns the Icehouse & Simple Minds covers of it
Thats 8 just from the post punk era

It shouldn't be too difficult to get Buffalo Tom , Jeff Buckley , Iron and Wine as well as Lou Reed & Nico's solo versions

I make that 13 versions of the same song.
