First off I only own How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. It is awful. And nearly every other song I've heard from them is awful. So as musicians I dislike them. But I have to disagree with Urban on some other counts. Such as the hat. The woman shouldn't have stole it-regardless of his millions or not, stealing is wrong and it's the principle of having the hat stolen that matters. Secondly, a bad haircut isn't a good excuse to hate someone. And he donated money to Live Aid himself, but he can't feed Africa all by himself. He needs everyones help, not just his own.

But yes I hate the music. So I dislike U2 the band, but not as people. I did however hear a rumour that a percentage of the proceeds from their albums go to the IRA-true or false?

I like pre-1985 U2 material. War and Boy being my favourite albums, it all started to go wrong when they tried to break America though.

I don't agree with that, the first two sound quite similar (Boy and October) and the next two sound similar (War and Unforgettable Fire). But you can't really compare the Joshua Tree, which I agree is very overrated, with the likes of Boy.

If you don't like U2 and have only heard recent material, listen to 'New Year's Day', 'Twilight' and 'Like a Song'.
