The Arctic Monkeys album is a classic. Coldplay are bland. Gorillaz are fantastic. Kaiser Chiefs are good, but they need to release another album and stop releasing songs off Employment. James Blunt was good at first, but now he's starting to grate a little. How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb is an awful album, and sits right next to OK computer as the worst album in my collection. Oasis are nothing like they used to be-they are average at best. So why did I vote yes on the poll? Well it seems to me that the bands topping the charts now are British. It's great to see a band like the Arctic Monkeys get to number one on talent alone, and its even greater to see a British band break through in a world where gold chains and Gangsters reign supreme. So for that reason alone I voted on Yes, this IS the New Golden Age of British Music. It's not as good as the old Golden Age, but it's the best we've had it in some time.

^ Hang on, you think that the new Arctic Monkeys album is fantastic, and you think that OK Computer is terrible?

Hahaha.

I go back on what I have said. I listened to the Radiohead album as I fell to sleep last night and it's not terrible. It's average. And yes I think the Arctic Monkey's album is a classic. Why, do you find it strange that on a music forum people might have different tastes in music?

I think that the awards were pretty good in general, apart from green Day getting best International Album and Best International Group. It's the most accurate the Brits are ever going to be. Annoyed me a bit though how the Arctic Monkey's Brit for best breakthrough artist was accepted by an American who basically laid into the Brits. The British can do it because it's OUR awards, but when the Yank ripped into them it pissed me off.

That's right mate, "Bob's your Uncle", gets used up here to.
But I prefer "Roberts yer' Dads brother". (makes you think a bit more).
