First of all e is a horrible drug. It is bottom of the barrel stuff like Meth or Ice. And it isn't nice calling a whole musical genre "shit". How would you like it if someone called what you like that?

you dont like rave culture either than, if you dont like e.... rave **** can not be enjoyed without the drug that is why it is crap....listening to other types of music made on a certain type of drug doesnt havet to be listened to on that drug to be listenable. when people are tripping on acid and playing it can be enjoyed and appreciated to the sober mind....i heard an 11 minutes looped version of hollaback girl. with the lyrics stripped down to "aint no hollaback girl" for the whole song. it is ****

I'll wager that the glowstick would've become more fashionable, earlier, had e been around back then.

i dont think so. i think if e was around, or more readily availible then there would be even more impressive lavalamp designs now and other wild assed lights that we cant even comprehend.

glow sticks are so lifeless and seem like chemical garbage. i find that all the things associated with e are generally vapid and soul-less

I can't imagine a world in which a rave isn't accompanied by a legion of bare chested men holding whistles and glowsticks. Just doesn't seem right.

there needs to be something to breakdown these steretypes. a brokeback mountainesque cultural event (not that brokeback moutain was a cultural event).

i get a big kick out of recording when im wacked, and i wonder why more people make legitimate music on it. not just looping 5 seconds for minutes on end

"See, I think drugs have done some good things for us, I really do, and if you don't believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a favor. Go home tonight and take all your albums, all your tapes, and all your CDs and burn 'em. Cause you know what? The musicians who made all that great music that's enhanced your lives throughout the years? Rrrrreal fuckin' high on drugs."

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed into a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness, experiencing itself subjectively, there's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, in which is an imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather."

"It's not a war on drugs, it's a war on personal freedom, is what it is, okay? Keep that in mind at all times. Thank you."

-- from Tool's Aenima. track 11, Third Eye.
